Nose Reconstruction

Partial or total loss of nose and its cartilages may occur after many traumas like skin cancers, traffic accidents, firearm woundings and so on. Reconstructing the nose with soft tissues that are taken from distal(arm,leg) or proximal(forehead,cheek) body parts after such losses is called nose reconstruction.

If the cartilaginous structures which provide support for nose are damaged too, deformities are corrected with rib cartilages or ready-made implants. Due to the improvement, very good results can obtained also even in extreme cases in microsurgery as well.
